Dress your dog or cat in the very latest in Pet Fashion; Louiseware! These tasteful scarves will make your pet the envy of all his/her friends. I have been making them for several years for friends and family and I am always being asked where their friends can buy them. Until now I haven't offered them for sale.
The inspiration for Louiseware is my cat Louise who, of course, has become the primary model for the collection. As a hobby, my husband and I show horses on the hunter/jumper circuit and since she was a small kitten Louise has been accompanying us to horse shows. She has also accompanied us on our other travels around the country for business and pleasure. Traveling with a dog is not unusual but being a cat, Louise always draws second looks as a travel companion. I wanted Louise to have a distinctive wardrobe much like dogs that have a collection of spiffy collars and jackets or blankets. But, again being a cat, Louise prefers harnesses over collars and feels her shiny black coat needs no ehancements from a trendy blanket. I came upon the idea of the scarf and Louiseware was born!
Once people saw Louise's wardrobe they began asking for larger-sized versions for their canine friends - the more traditional traveling pet. Not wanting to exclude fellow feline afficionados I continue to create Louiseware in all sizes from small cat/teeny dog to large dog.
Each scarf is hand-sewn using durable, washable fabrics selected by me. Because they are reversible using complimentary fabric patterns, each Louiseware scarf is really 2 scarves in 1!
